Tengiz Pkhaladze, Advisor to President of Georgia for Foreign Relations Issues evaluates the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Georgia’s one of two occupied regions of Abkhazia as an attempt to legitimize illegal move. According to Pkhaladze, Georgia won the struggle of non-recognition policy on an international arena. The ruling team describes the visit as Putin’s demonstration of power and violation of international norms. The opposition criticizes the government for making weak statements.
