Russian soldiers install barbed wires in Khurcha village

Yet another provocation of Russia against Georgia – on the 9th anniversary of truce agreement signed through mediation of the international community after August 2008 Georgia-Russia war, Russian soldiers installed barbed wires in Khurcha village, which is adjacent to Georgia’s one of two occupied regions of Abkhazia. One part of agricultural plots and a cemetery of the locals now fall beyond the line. 

Official Tbilisi evaluates installation of barbed wires at Khurcha-Nabakevi village of so-called administrative border as yet another provocation on part of Russia. 

According to Levan Izoria, Defense Minister, consolidation of international community is essential for de-occupation of the country. Presidential Administration calls on the government for using all international mechanisms to avert any provocative move.
