The Emergency headquarters releases a statement concerning ongoing anti-fire activities in Borjomi and other Georgian regions. As reported by the headquarters, 1500 firefighters are fighting the fire. Six helicopters resumed working in the morning. It started in a house of a shepherd and expanded in fields and forest. It was localized in 12 hours. The fire has been extinguished at the village of Zemo Tvalivi, Dusheti District. The burnt places will be checked again for prevention. According to the Special Staff Defense Minister Levan Izoria and General Staff Head Vladimer Chachibaia will visit Ateni to personally see the situation at the scene.
