53-year-old man abducted from Knolevi village

A 53-year-old man was abducted from Knolevi village, Kareli district of Shida Kartli region.

According to Shalva Enukidze, Head of Information-Analytical Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the man was detained when he was working in his courtyard together with his son. 

The European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) in Georgia is already informed about the fact. De-facto authorities of occupied region of South Ossetia have not confirmed the detention yet. 

The issue of being Georgian citizens in illegal captivity will be discussed during an extraordinary meeting of group on Incidents Prevention and Response Mechanisms in Ergneti village on July 20.
