Chief Prosecutor’s Office published part of video and audio material as being evidence into the so-called Cyanide case. Archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze is charged for having attempted to poison a high-ranking clergyman with Potassium Cyanide.

Chief Prosecutor’s Office reported about interim findings of the ongoing investigation due to high interest of the public into the case. Investigation determined that the charged person has tried to buy Cyanide several times to liquidate Shorena Tetruashvili, Secretary-Referent of Patriarch and other persons.

Prosecutor’s Office charged Mamaladze also for illegal buying and keeping guns. A hand-made gun and bullets were confiscated from Mamaladze’s house upon search. Further intensive investigation activities keep on. Archpriest faces from 7 to 15 years in prison. Mamaladze’s lawyers claim that the video and audio material is edited and does not reflect the truth.
