Mother of Demur Sturua demands re-investigation of case

Nona Jojua, mother of Demur Sturua, young man who committed suicide in Dapnari village, Samtredia district of Imereti region, demands re-investigation into her son’s case. 

Jojua welcomes the decision made by Kutaisi City Court based on which police officer Goderdzi Tevzadze was acquitted. Mother said that Tevzadze was not guilty. Prosecutor’s Office disagrees with the decision of city court. 

Sturua left a letter before suicide where he accused Tevzadze of his death. However, reportedly, Tevzadze had nothing to do with the case.
