Lawyer of Goderdzi Tevzadze talks about new details into the case
The lawyer of Goderdzi Tevzadze, charged person into case of Demur Sturua, 22-year-old man who committed suicide in Samtredia town of Imereti region, talks about new details into the case.
According to Ledi Tukvadze the results of the independent expertise will be known today, which may change the direction of the investigation.
Lawyer does not rule out the murder version. At this stage Tukvadze refrains from revealing details and plans to hold a briefing, where media representatives will get acquainted with the case material.
In parallel, family members of Demur Sturua plans to hold protest rally in front of the police station.
Goderdzi Tevzadze was transferred to Kutaisi #2 Penitentiary Facility. He arrived at Western Georgian Regional Prosecutor’s Office and surrendered to law-enforcers on September 13. He was hiding during 3 months. Tevzadze said he was innocent and would launch a hunger strike.
Demur Sturua, 22-year-old resident of the village of Dapnari in Samtredia district committed suicide three weeks ago by hanging, leaving behind a handwritten suicide note, where Sturua wrote that the policeman threatened him.
