Members of Birja Mafia music band questioned
Members of Birja Mafia music band have been questioned at Gldani pre-trial detention isolator today. Giorgi Keburia and Mikheil Mgaloblishvili have been answering the questions of prosecutor during several hours.
The lawyers of the detainees were at penitentiary facility. They are talking about innocence of musicians and say their detention is related to the video-clip.
Law enforcers have arrested two members of Birja Mafia musical band two days ago. Giorgi Keburia and Mikheil Mgaloblishvili were imposed to imprisonment at the decision of Tbilisi City Court. They are charged for illegal keeping of drugs and face from 8 to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
According to detained rapper Mikheil Mgaloblishvili the drugs that were seized as if belonging to him, was put in his pocket by police offices.
He says the police did this as the musical band caricatured police in its video clip earlier.
A protest was held near the parliament of Georgia in support of the detainees yesterday.
