Discussions held into so-called Cyanide Case

Publish Time 2017-07-15 12:05:00

Discussions into so-called Cyanide Case lasted during more than 10 hours at Tbilisi City Court on July 14. Prosecutor’s Office questioned 10 witnesses including clergymen Father Davit Chincharauli, Archpriest Andria Gvazava and Patriarch’s Secretary Michael Botkoveli.

Botkoveli told journalists that his questioning had to do with his position in the Patriarchate. Shorena Tetruashvili, Secretary-Referent of Patriarch also answered questions of the plaintiff side. She left the court without giving any comments to the media.

Prosecutor said based on the evidence given by Tetruashvili that she had not asked Archpriest Giorgi Mamaladze, charged for having attempted to poison a high-ranking clergyman, to bring Cyanide and had not given him money. The next sitting into the case is scheduled got July 18.
