Georgian judicial candidates to be interviewed in Strasbourg

Interview with judicial candidates of Georgia will be held at Inter-parliamentary Committee of Council of Europe in Strasbourg today. The winning candidate will take the post with 9-year term. 

The judicial candidates of Georgia are: Lali Papiashvili, deputy chairperson of the Constitutional Court of Georgia, Otar Sichinava, former judge of the Constitutional Court of Georgia and incumbent judge of the Court of Appeal, and Ambassador of Georgia to Germany Lado Chanturia. 

First Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia Aleksandre Baramidze said he was sure that the list of the candidates would be accepted and one of the candidates would eventually become a judge of the European Court of Human Rights. Baramidze did not specify which candidate had the biggest chance of winning.
