Officers of Investigative Service of Georgia’s Finance Ministry detained two people on charges of stealing raw oil from the Baku-Supsa pipeline that crosses Georgia. As reported, Giorgi Lashkhiridze and Iago Kakhabrishvili systematically stole raw material from the pipeline. They damaged the BP-owned pipeline at Ruisi, Kareli district, installed a special tap on the damaged spot and received oil. The existing reservoirs were covered by vegetables by them. As reported, they transported and stored the stolen oil in Tbilisi, at the reservoirs located on the old factory territory at Tvalchrelidze Street. They prepared it for further sale. Investigation is underway according to the article that envisages imprisonment for 6-19 years. 

Temur Kenkebashvili, former employee of Constitutional Security Department (CSD) was questioned at Chief Prosecutor’s Office last night.Kenkebashvili told reporters that investigation had questions to him about release and distribution of secret recordings reflecting private life but did not speak about the details of his interrogation. 

Aleksi Petriashvili, Secretary General of Free Democrats Party demands requalification of his attack case, and calls on law-enforcers for holding intensive investigation. Petriashvili has already left Republican Hospital. He said that he did not know Levan Mekvabishvili, one of the suspects detained by police on March 7. Aleksi Petriashvili was shot on February 26. He had several injuries. He underwent immediate surgery at the Republican Hospital. The person accused of attacking Petriashvili was detained yesterday by law enforcers.

Shalva Khutsishvili, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs said that in case of new circumstances, the criminal case opened into wounding fact of Aleksi Petriashvili, Secretary General of Free Democrats Party would be re-qualified. One of the suspects on Petriashvili’s attack was detained on March 7. The person was presented charges last night. The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) is intensively working on determination of the person who had ordered the attack. A criminal case is opened under Article #117.  

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has solved the attack case on Aleksi Petriashvili, Secretary General of Free Democrats Party. Police arrested 41-year-old Levan M. in Borjomi. His accomplice is still being searched.DNA analysis of the cap and the hammer left at Saburtalo cemetery are named as a main evidence. However, the motive for the crime is unknown yet. The leaders of Free Democrats Party released a special statement regarding the developments.

Questioning of Aleksi Petriashvili, Secretary General of Free Democrats Party will continue on March 5, lawyer said. Despite readiness of Petriashvili, doctors did not permit the investigator to continue interrogation. Lawyer said the investigator visited the patient in the morning and took samples of blood and DNA. Petriashvili was shot at Saburtalo Cemetery with a gun on February 26. Five shots were fired in direction of Petriashvili. Officers of Anti-Corruption Agency detained one person on charge of taking bribe. Officer of Aviation Division of Security Police Department is detained.Investigation revealed that officer Giga Kiknavelidze took the bribe from a citizen in the amount of 5 thousand GEL in return to letting the citizen bypass the checkpoint of control at Tbilisi International Airport with gold items valued USD 50 thousand. Investigation is ongoing into the case. 

The date when Aleksi Petriashvili, Secretary General of Free Democrats Party will be questioned is not known yet. Petriashvili’s health condition is satisfactory and doctors agreed that his interrogation is possible. Minister of Internal Affairs is meeting with Free Democrats about the matter.

Officers of Investigation Service of Finance Ministry detained 2 people on charge of swindling.According to the investigation, the detainees tried to use the identity of employees of State Property National Agency in Kvemo Kartli regional center and promised a citizen to become the owner of the desirable land-plot. They took USD 7000 in return from the citizen. A criminal case is opened into the fact. 

Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili published a statement regarding the armed attack on Alexi Petriashvili, one of the leaders of Free Democrats party, on his facebook page. Prime Minister assessed the fact as outrageous and addresses the Ministry of Interior affairs to investigate the incident as soon as possible.

A murder occurred in Kaspi town of Shida Kartli region several hours ago. 45-years-old man was killed.The dispute between two men became the reason for the murder.  The suspect has been already detained. He has already pleaded guilty.

A special operation is being held by the police in Telavi city of eastern Kakheti region. A 48-year-old man was killed in Telavi and the suspect is being searched.  The man was stabbed with a knife in his stomach during a quarrel with his relative. The family says that the killed man was receiving menacing letters on a regular basis. Law enforcers are working at the crime scene. 

About 45-year-old man was killed in Chakvi resort of western Adjara region. The corpse is subjected to expertise. According to the released information, the killed man and the attacker were under influence of alcohol. They both worked at construction site. The motive of the conflict is not known. Criminal case is opened under article of premeditated murder. 

The expertise will determine the origin of the injury discovered on the left leg of Bidzina Kuchava, founder of Voice of Georgia and suspected into murder of Vakhtang Kiria, Prosecutor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region. Microscopic examination will be carried out at Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau today.  Maia Nikoleishvili, independent expert will be involved in examination. 

A Brutal murder occurred in Ponichala district – The dead bodies of mother and child have been found. About 30 years old woman had a cut throat, the child was burnt. The neighbors talk about robbery version.The husband of a killed woman has been transferred to the police station for questioning. Investigation into the case is underway.

Corpses of three men, who were missing in Zugdidi, western Georgia, and were found killed, are sent to expertise to Kutaisi Levan Samkharauli National Forensic Bureau. The bodies will be transferred home on February 14. The suspect of murder is detained. He has admitted to have committed the murder. Criminal case is opened and full investigation into the case is in progress.

A man shot dead his former wife and her current husband in Gori town of Shida Kartli region. There are two versions of the crime including jealousy motive. Full investigation into the case is ongoing. 

Two people intruded into a family of Vakhtangishvilis at Chavchavadze Street in Telavi city of Kakheti region. The attackers physically assaulted husband and wife, then seized jewelry and cash money.The wounded couple is placed at hospital. A criminal case is opened into the fact. The suspects of the crime are not detained yet. 

Murder case occurred in Kukua district, Tbilisi. Man is suspected in killing his former wife.The police have already detained the murder suspect. Investigation is underway.
